Lighting plays an important role in underwater videography. New developments have made LED lighting systems much cheaper and the light output to weight ratio is getting better all the time.
Since BS Kinetics produces no lighting systems of its own, we recommend the following products. All lighting equipment has a burn time of at least 60 minutes at full power. All underwater lights listed here have a beam coverage of more than 80°.
Two lamp heads should be used when shooting. This is the only way to prevent the shadows under your subject. Depending on the weight of the lamp head, lamps are attached with flexible or rigid light arms.

The compact and lightweight V4 video light is made out of hard anodized aluminium and is available in silver and black. 3 x 3 watt high performance LEDs give an output of over 600 lumens, with three different output level options.
It has an 80° beam angle and has no hotspot. The design and handling of this light make it perfect for video lighting. The light has a burn time of approximately 90 minutes at full power. Power supply comes from 4 AA batteries, or a rechargeable battery.

A newly developed panel light in 16:9 format
As with all the Subtronic devices, the Subtronic Video light is equipped with an external battery.
The 7.2 Ah external battery pack provides 75 minutes of light and weights only 1 kg.
- Incredible 6 x 7W LED performance, with a CRI of 96.
- Uniform illumination over the entire surface
- Underwater beam angle: 110°
- 4 light intensity (output): 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%
- Battery charger included.

In addition to the systems detailed here, we stock suitable video lighting equipment from Hartenberger, Greenforce, and Werner Lightpower.
We welcome queries about other options available, and requests for more detailed information.
